General Motors NATG Assembly Plant, Arlington, TX. Performed structural design for a series of renovations and additions to more than 2,000,000 square feet at this manufacturing facility. The project included modifications to a number of assembly areas and paint facilities, and addition of new production automated storage and retrieval, receiving, maintenance and quality control areas. In addition, modifications were made to site vehicular circulation areas, staging areas for delivery vehicles, and existing rail service. * Design
DART Service and Inspection (S & I) Facility, Dallas, TX. Coordinated structural design and construction of a multi-story S & I facility including a one-story facility and maintenance building. Representing the Principle Section Designer (PSD); and coordinating design consultants, including architect, engineers and pre-engineered building manufacturer, for construction of the deep foundation and superstructure system. Project involved coordinating the entire light rail S & I requirements including rail track design in the facility yard. * Design
Intel Projects Building, Alliance Airport, Fort Worth, TX. This design-build project involved structural engineering for a 50,000-SF, one-story building. The structure was a 200’ x 200’ Butler preengineered building with 40’ x 50’ bays, supported on a drilled shaft foundation and perimeter concrete grade beam with floating concrete slab-on-grade.* Design-Build
Intel Break Area FW-6, Fort Worth, TX. Design-build project for the construction of an outdoor employee break area, consisting of an approximately 1,000-square foot concrete deck with fencing, illumination and security. All electrical requirements for the space were tied to the existing building systems. * Design-Build
Lockheed Nox Boiler Building, Fort Worth, TX. Structural design for a stand-alone 12,000-square foot building to accommodate plant boilers. The 41-foot high pre-engineered building has a 120' x 100' footprint. The foundation system consists of a drilled pier foundation and perimeter grade beam. The interior 8-inch thick concrete slab-on-grade has openings for special foundations of smokestacks, boilers and other equipment. The unique feature was the need to bring de-ionized water, condensation and gas lines from the existing boiler building, over the roof of Building. 4 to the new facility. The pipe loads were analyzed and transferred to existing steel roof trusses supported by steel pipe stub columns and pipe rollers. * Design
Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft Systems Bldg. No. 5, Phase I, II and III Structural Modifications, Fort Worth, TX. Structural design for modifications to the facility and the addition of a ceiling support structure to an existing mezzanine in order to accommodate new offices.* Design
