Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) Base Building, Lake Front Airport, New Orleans, LA. Structural design and design management for a $2.5-million design build reconstruction project for the FAA. The project consists of restructuring a new 3,500-square foot elevated base building damaged by hurricane Katrina. The building was redesigned on the existing concrete slab, with a beam and timber pile foundation to resist 140-mph wind loads. Design-Build

Nueces County Infrastructure Rehabilitation, Corpus Christi, TX. Project Management of 39 bridges which were bid in 12 separate bid packages, and 280 miles of roadway repair in 14 additional bid packages. Project responsibilities consisted of providing assistance to a design and program management team for quality assurance, design review, and constructability review including bidding and letting of contracts. Design-Build


Repair Airfield Fire Protection System, NASJRB, Fort Worth, TX. 2CMD performed engineering design, quality assurance and overall project management for a $2.2 million design-build contract with the US Navy. Replacing approximately 12,000 LF of existing 10-inch transite fire protection line, a meter vault and 27 flush mounted fire hydrants installed along the east side of Runway 17/35. New 12-inch C900 PVC pipe approximately 15,000 LF will be constructed along the adjacent taxiway Foxtrot with 35 fire hydrants. A new meter and backflow preventer vault is also provided. The project also includes approximately 2,000 LF of pipe boring under the existing taxiways. Design-Build


Replace Base-wide Potable Water Lines Phase V, NASJRB, Fort Worth, TX. 2CMD was prime design build contractor for engineering design, quality assurance and overall project management for a $1.5- million design-build contract with the US Navy. The project consists of replacing approximately 8,000 linear feet of 6-inch, 8-inch and 12-inch waterline. The work includes pipe bursting and boring of a new waterline to replace the existing lines, replacing existing fire hydrants and providing new fire hydrants. Design-Build



Army Reserve Center, 2 Hutments, Seagoville, TX. This assignment involved provision of all equipment, supervision, labor, materials and supplies necessary to design and build two dormitorystyle hutments, and install site grading and drainage controls, a French drain system and crushed granite. Design-Build


FBOP Camp Facility Design-Build Project, FCI Seagoville, TX. This was the first design-build project for FBOP’s South Central Region. The facility is approximately 16,000 square feet and is designed to house approximately 100 inmates, with dormitory areas, multi-purpose rooms, a chapel, dining facilities and office space. The assignment included all engineering design and construction phase services. * Design-Build


Homeboy Furniture Store, Fort Worth, TX. 2CMD was contractor for CM-at-Risk services for the construction of a 3,000-square foot addition to an existing furniture store. Duties included construction permitting, retaining subcontractors, and completing construction as owner’s representative. Design-Build


Intel Projects Building, Alliance Airport, Fort Worth, TX. This design-build project involved structural engineering for a 50,000-SF, one-story building. The structure was a 200’ x 200’ Butler preengineered building with 40’ x 50’ bays, supported on a drilled shaft foundation and perimeter concrete grade beam with floating concrete slab-on-grade.* Design-Build


Intel Break Area FW-6, Fort Worth, TX. Design-build project for the construction of an outdoor employee break area, consisting of an approximately 1,000-square foot concrete deck with fencing, illumination and security. All electrical requirements for the space were tied to the existing building systems. * Design-Build


Imam Ali Islamic Center, Grand Prairie, TX. A/E design, quality assurance and overall project management. The project consists of a one-story building approximately 4200 SF. The structural system consists of slab on grade concrete slab and beam system. The load bearing walls consists of Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) Wall system supporting steel roof trusses. Design-Build


IILM Multi-Use Cultural Center, Plano, TX. 2CMD is responsible for the Program Management and Structural Engineering Services. The Multi-use Cultural Center complex is approximately 50,000 SF in size and is comprised of three (3) buildings consisting of a gymnasium, a two story parochial school and a two story building housing a library and a multi-use out reach center. The roof includes a 60 ft diameter dome. 2CMD’s tasks include design management and the structural design, construction contract administration, cost estimating and monitoring the project budget. Cayman Village at Grand Cayman Island, Cayman Islands. Fast-track A/E design and construction management for a 195-unit apartment complex with 13 three-story buildings, each building with five units per floor. The structure consists of concrete deck on Hambro joist supported by ICF wall system. The foundation of the buildings is on aggregate piers with the roof consisting of treated wood trusses at 2’ on center with standing seam metal roof deck. Project duties included planning approvals, designing, permitting and construction administration/management. Responsibilities included completing the total design of project to meet the project design-build budget and construction schedule. Design-Build


Dallas Housing Authority Dumpster Screen Construction at Audelia Manor, Dallas, TX. 2CMD was responsible for providing construction and construction management services for two dumpster screen enclosures built with split face CMU and steel gates. The construction cost of this project was approximately $23,000. Design-Build
